A Minion Ways to Lose ep.1 ''The Color Blue Wasn't Used''

Bubble faith was the pilot episode to a larger picture: I got roughly a month and 12 days to paint enough for two steamroller lists.

Another painting/showoff article!

Well, to tell the truth, I didn't mention how many points this 'Steamroller' was going to be and I well know that the two lists I'll show you will be missing around 15pts. Let's not forget that into that same month and twelve days, I'll have two university finals as well as to finish two teamworks.

Let's continue with today's story:

A Minion Ways to Lose ep.1
''
The Color Blue Wasn't Used''

When I picked up Rask (see: Bubble Faith) I knew I would'nt stop there and that I would try to build a small Blindwater Congregation.
Now, a new army in any game can be quite costly (except maybe Malifaux), luckily for me: Minions doesnt have a lot of models out, while this means it forces me to play models I would probably leave on the shelf if I had other (better) options, it also means that if I buy something, it will probably be used in both of my Steamroller lists.
Another cool thing: almost everything I buy is in every Blindwater Congregation warlock's tier lists.

So I didn't had a lot of choices but no matter what I would pick, it would fit into my lists.

Because you read my ''Bubble Faith'' article last week, you already know that the miniature I picked up is...

This Guy!
Well, I was drowned in teamwork and then easter happened and cut my painting time but I managed to get an afternoon entirely free and proceeded to paint my Blackhide Wrastler. All I need to do now is paint its base.

Here's some more shots:

''mmm...My scales are so green!''

''You might wonder how I do to have such green scales...''

''Well it's simple...''

''I wash myself with green 'Gator-Ade'...''

''It contains essential nutriments and all the electrolytes needed...''

''To have scales as green as mine!''

Color Used
Primer: Army Painter 'Angel Green' spray
Skin: (base)PIP Traitor Green, (highlights)PIP Wurm Green, (shading)SWM Algae Wash (except the big scales on the back, those I didnt wash)
Bones: (base)PIP Thrall Flesh, (highlights)PIP Menoth White Base, (scratches)PIP Morrow White
Clothes: (base)PIP Sanguine Base, (highlights)PIP Sanguine Base mixed with PIP Menoth White Base, a little GW Ogryn Flesh Wash over that didn't hurt
Metal: (base)PIP Ironhull Grey, (highlights)GW Codex Grey, (shading)SWM Soft Body Black, (highlights 2)GW Astronomican Grey

Same idea as with Rask: I wanted a really cartoonish style and what better way to do that than to have an alligator be 'neon green'?
Most of the colors are on Rasks (except the skin) to better tie the models together.
It is to be noted that there's not a single blue thing on this model, the color blue wasn't used. (I'm lying: I used Algae Wash from Secret Weapon Minis which is essentially a blue wash)

 The Lists

You might wonder where this beautiful green thing will fit, well the simple answer is: in every gator list! It looks like the strongest warbeast out of the three heavies available.

This week, I'll give you my list number two, the one based on a Warlock I don't even own:

List 2: Barnabas Tier 3 (tier 4 is impossible at 35pts, yay!)
= Bloody Barnabas -6 warbeast pts
Bull Snapper 3pts
Blackhide Wrastler 9pts
Ironback Spitter 8pts
Bog Trog Ambushers (Leader and 5 Grunts) 5pts
Gatormen Posse (Leader and 2 Grunts) 6pts
Gatormen Posse (Leader and 2 Grunts) 6pts
Croak Hunter 2pts
Croak Hunter 2pts
And before I leave you, I'll show you a couple more shots of my minions, I recently traded a friend (Cellularghost) for a small Gatormen Posse, I also found a Totem Hunter in my collection so it is that much less to spend.

Rask (and it's finished base) with his new purse Blackhide Wraster.

Three Gatormen I won't need to paint!

And I leave you without a preview of the model I'll try to paint this week but to tell the truth I don't know which model it is myself (or if I'll have time to paint).

...There's always time to paint!!

Until next time where I get to show 'something' painted for my army of Minions for Steamrollers and Immoren At War!
